Ray and Christine founded this affix many years ago. They originally had various breeds of dog, but eventually settled on Gordon Setters as their breed of choice. Ray showed some of the Gordon Setters in the early days to minimal success, but eventually fell out of love for the hobby. However they did find time to breed one Gordon Setter litter of puppies.
They later allowed their son Dominic onto the affix as a seperate interest, and have supported his exploits ever since. Assisting where possible, whether it be dog sitting duties, feeding, or even on occasions helping with the showing of the dogs. They have been a great inspiration and help to Dominic.

Dominic's first dog was a Miniature Schnauzer. He was added to the Levelmoor affix in the early 1990's, when he owned his first Gordon Setter.
But in 1997 his love for another breed was born-the Flatcoated Retriever.
After intensive studies into the breed, he finally purchased his first Flatcoat in 1998-Carnegga Ebony of Levelmoor (Ebony), bred by Mrs Gill Stiles in Cornwall. He showed her to reasonable success, and gained her Stud book number. In 2000 he bought his second Flatcoat bitch-Spera Vivace Tosca at Levelmoor (Fern), bred by Shirley De Robbio in Scotland. She showed well as a youngster and went on to win a Reserve CC later in her show career. He bred his first litter of puppies from Ebony, and then went on to breed 2 more from Fern. The first of which produced some very successful dogs, and helped him to achieve TOP BREEDER 2009. He kept his first male dog from Fern's second litter, which was Levelmoor Nijinsky (Dooley). He had some success including winning a first at Crufts, and gaining his Stud book number. Dom continues to show and breed Flatcoated Retrievers and judges many Gundog breeds. He will be judging his first breed show in October 2019, and is currently on B and A3 lists for the various breed clubs.
Dom is on the committee for Lichfield canine society whom at a recent ceremony in March 2019 won the PAWSCAR award for best open show 2018.
He helps to run a ringcraft training class for the same society on a Monday evening at Slitting Mill, Rugeley.
